Going to the theaters to watch a movie has been an American pastime since the early 1900’s, but what about now? There are so many movies coming out in 2016 and here a few to keep a watch.
Alice Through the Looking Glass
It has been some time since Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) has left Wonderland and things have changed for the worse. Alice steps through the looking glass after escaping the madhouse and falls back into the whimsical world of Wonderland. This time, her friend the Mad Hatter (Johnny Dep), is in deep trouble with Time (Sacha Baron Cohen). Can Alice Kingsleigh prevail against the madness once more?
Based on the second Wonderland book, written by Lewis Carrol, Alice Through the Looking Glass comes out in theaters on May 27, 2016 and is rated PG so this crazy adventure can be enjoyed for all ages.
Captain America: Civil War
Captain America (Chris Evans) is returning in his third film and this one is going to be epic. The movie is based on two Avengers clashing and a war breaking out between the two. One team is led by Captain America and the other is led by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr). This movie is sure to set the tone for future Avengers films. This film is going to be a treat for fans of Marvel comics. Several superheroes are set to make appearances in this film, including the new and improved SpiderMan! This movie is the introductory to his character in the Avengers universe.
This is film does not have a rating yet. Captain America: Civil War booms into theaters on May 6, 2016.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Jacob Portman (Asa Butterfield) is a 16 year-old boy who grew up listening to his grandfather’s tales. Jacob later discovers that they were more than just stories. He stumbles upon the mysterious orphanage that his grandfather used to talk about. This place hosts many children with special “gifts” and when they are threatened, it is up to Jacob to save the home.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, based on a worldwide best seller by Ransom Riggs, comes to theaters on September 30, 2016 and is not yet rated.
It has been thirteen years since Marlin and Dory embarked on their incredible voyage to rescues Marlin’s son, Dory. It is now Dory who is on a mission to find something. In this highly anticipated movie, Dory goes on an adventure to find her family and learn about her roots and who she truly is. This movie will feature, not only some of the older characters from the first film, but also some new characters.
This film is currently unrated, but this is something to see with the whole family. Finding Dory splashes into theaters on June 17, 2016.
