It’s the beginning of the semester and you’re supposed to graduate this spring, you have plenty of time to apply to graduate, right? WRONG.
You probably had no idea that this is something that needs to be done now, A. S. A. P. Applying to graduate is a process that takes months to complete considering the amount of students and degrees that have to be processed for the entire school. Don’t freak out!
Applying to graduate is as simple as filling out a form and delivering it to the Bursar’s office. So, let’s break this down into steps.
First, go to the school’s website which is www.cccnj.edu. Once you are on the school’s website, click on the Portal link which is located on the right hand side of the page. This link will take you to the login page of the website.
Next, click the link that says, “click to login” at the bottom of the page. Since you are a student, where it says “name” you will type in ccc\your first initial and your last name with no spaces. For example, ccc\bsmith. The password will be your 8-digit birthday which should look like mmddyyyy for example, 02061992.
Once you are logged into portal you will see links at the top of the page such as “home”, “academics”, “campus services”, “student services”, etc. For the graduation application, you will need to hover your cursor over student services and the first choice under that will be graduation application. Click on graduation application and the application should appear on your screen.
The next step should be to print this page out. Once you fill out your personal information on this form, deliver it to the Bursar’s office with a $25 (non-refundable) payment located in the Student Life Center on campus.
The deadline to apply for students anticipating graduating in the Spring of 2014 is February 18, 2014. Late applications received after 2/18/14 will incur a $25 late fee in addition to the original $25 application fee.
