It’s that time of year, where there’s a lot to bake and fun recipes to make! This holiday season, spice up your cookbook – try something new!

Candy Cane Kissed Cookies (Tumbleweed Contessa) (3 dozen)

Ingredients:

-1 bag Hershey’s Candy Cane kisses

-½ cup butter, softened

-1 cup granulated sugar

-1 ½ teaspoons vanilla

-1 egg, room temperature

-2 cups all-purpose flour

-¼ teaspoon salt

-1 tablespoons milk

-Red and green colored sugar

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove wrappers from candies and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl until well-blended. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well-blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.  Roll in red and/or green colored sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and cookies are set.  Remove from oven; cool 15 minutes. Press candy piece into the center of each cookie. Remove them from the cookie sheet and cool completely on a wire rack.

No-bake Pumpkin Pie: (Keebler)

Ingredients: 

-1 can (14 oz.) sweetened

condensed milk

-1 egg, slightly beaten

-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

-½ teaspoon ground ginger

-½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

-½ teaspoon salt

-1 envelope Knox Unflavored Gelatine

-2 tablespoons water

-1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin (about 2 cups)

-1 Keebler Ready-Crust graham cracker pie crust

Directions: In one bowl: Blend milk, egg, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. In a saucepan, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over water; let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until about 2 minutes. Blend in milk mixture. Continue stirring over low heat until mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Blend in pumpkin. Turn into prepared crust; chill until firm. Garnish, if desired, with whipped cream. Makes about 8 servings.

Perfect Punch:

Mix the following:

-½ gallon strawberry or rainbow sherbet

-Two 64 fluid ounces of bottle of fruit punch

-Two liters lemon lime soda
