Cumberland County College has partnered with the University

Cumberland County College has partnered with the University of Sagrado Corazon for a trip to Puerto Rico. Only 10 seats are available. Students will be experience the culture and the academic setting.  

The trip is May 30  to June 9, 2013. The trip cost is $1,600. The trips cost includes: airfare, dorm accommodations (double occupancy), and transportation to cultural events. Meals are on your own, but are very reasonable. (Estimated $3.00 for breakfast, $5.00 for lunch, and $8.00 for dinner).

 

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Fly USAirways, Philadelphia to San Juan, PR

Welcome Dinner, compliments of Sagrado

Day 2: Visit Old San Juan (all day, various locations)

Day 3: Boat trip through the canals and lagoons of San Juan estuary in the morning, Isla Verde Beach in the afternoon and in the evening, Plaza Las Americas Mall.

Day 4: Trip to Ponce (Southern Coast); visit The Castillos Serralles, Tibes Indigenos Park and La Guancha Beach (all day).

Day 5: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Spanish Class, afternoon free

Day 6: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Spanish Class, afternoon free

Day 7: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Spanish Class, afternoon free

Day 8: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Spanish Class, afternoon free

Day 9: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Spanish Class, afternoon free

Day 10: Visit el Yunque Rain Forest in the morning, lunch at Las Croabas, visit Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve in Fajardo in the afternoon.

Day 11: Departure
