CCC Photography students honored

By Susie Rempfer
Contributing Writer
Recently three CCC students entered an international photography contest and placed as finalists.
There were almost 14,000 entries total submitted by college students throughout the world. Students Priscilla Rodriguez, Demi-Brooke Jennings, and Gabby Barrientos placed as finalists in the Nikon sponsored  Photography  Forum’s Best of College Photograpghy contest.
Photographer’s Forum works with Serbin Communications to create opportunities for aspiring photographers. They have held over thirty contests since 1980. The contests are strictly for amatuer photographers who wish to showcase their work.
According to Photograpgy Forums’s website they are an “award-winning quarterly publication dedicated to quality reproduction in the United States and Canada. Each issue strives to facilitate communication and publication experience among emerging professionals.”
Rodriguez, Jennings, Barrientos, and all the other finalists will have their photographs published in Photographer Forum’s Annual called Best of College Photograpthy 2009.
The student’s photographs will be on display in The Board Room for one month starting April 15, and the students will be honored at the
board of Trustees Meeting on April 20.
This is an outstanding accomplishment for both the students and the college.
